Welcome back to my blog. Today I am going to share my personal views on Lacto Calamine’s Sunscreen with you. Lacto Calamine is a well-known brand in India and its most popular product is Lacto Calamine Daily Nourishing Lotion.
Lacto Calamine’s sunscreen lotion comes in two variants: one is for dry skin and the other is for oily skin types. The one I am going to review is for oily skin types.
Price of the Product: Rs. 199 for 50 ml.
What the product claims:
Daily use sunscreen with Lemon Extract & Vitamin E has been specifically formulated with oil control benefits to provide you a non-greasy matte look. SPF 30 PA++ provides a complete protection against broad spectrum UVA & UVB rays.
Daily use gives you healthy and radiant skin.
- Sweat free.
- Matte effect.
- Water resistant.
- Paraben free.
- Lemon Extract helps in oil control.
- Vitamin E helps reduce dark spots, pigmentation and is known to prevent premature aging.
- SPF 30 PA++ helps protect skin from broad spectrum UVA & UVB rays.
My experience with the product:
Actually, I got the 30 ml tube of this sunscreen lotion free with the 60 ml bottle of Lacto calamine’s lotion. Packaging wise the tube is sturdy and travel-friendly. The product is lightly fragranced which will not irritate anyone.
Only a small amount of this lotion is needed for your entire face. It spreads very easily on the face. You need to blend it properly with your fingers because it does leave a white cast on your face.
SPF and PA content of this sunscreen lotion is sufficient to prevent our skin from harmful UVA & UVB rays. The product is enriched with lemon extracts and Vitamin E.
The product actually is not helpful in controlling oil production on the face as it claims to be. The sunscreen lotion is not ideal to be used in summers. I would recommend it to be used in autumn or spring season. Also, it did not help me in reducing any kind of spot on my face.
The product also claims to be sweat-free, matte effect, water-resistant and paraben-free. But actually, the product is not sweat-free. Though it does give matte-effect on the face and is also water-resistant & paraben-free.
- Requires only a small amount.
- Blends easily.
- Good SPF and PA coverage.
- Moisturises Well.
- Gives matte-effect.
- Leaves white cast on the face.
- Not Sweat-free.
- Does not control oil production.
- Does not reduce dark spots, pigmentation marks or any aging signs.
- Not good for oily skin.
- Bit greasy.
Will I repurchase it?
Definitely a complete no-no. Though this sunscreen lotion is meant for oily skin but it did not suit to my skin in summers. That’s why I am using it now in autumn season. Also, I can buy any other good sunscreen lotion within the same price and have a decent quantity.
