Lotus Herbals Sunblock Cream With SPF 20 & PA+

Lotus Herbals Sun Block Cream Breezy Berry With SPF 20 & PA+ Review

Hi, Friends!

Hope you all are doing great in your lives. I am also happy and good in mine. Today’s blog post is going to be a review on Lotus Herbals Sun Block Cream With SPF 20 & PA+.

Lotus Herbals is India’s leading brand and also a trusted one because of the quality it offers to its customers. I am using this product from last 2 months to give you a valuable experience.

Price of the product: Rs. 255 for 100g

What the product claims

This waterproof Sun Block Cream offers full spectrum medium duration protection against damaging effects of UVA & UVB rays during outdoor sports, sunbathing, sea beach recreation and exposure to the sun. The cream will not be washed/wiped with water/sweat.

Product Highlights

  • Sweatproof.
  • Waterproof.
  • Non-greasy.

My experience with the product

The sunblock is packed in a normal flip top tube just like other sunscreens from “Lotus”. The tube is quite sturdy and suitable for travelling. The fragrance of the product is very light and it will not irritate anyone.

Sunscreen lotion has SPF 20 and PA+ for full coverage from UVA & UVB rays. Though it has sufficient amount of SPF but PA factor of this lotion is quite less. There must be at least 2 or 3 ‘+’  signs for PA indication in a sunscreen. The sunscreen is not suitable for long duration protection under the sun.

It claims to be suitable for all skin types, sweatproof, waterproof and non-greasy. And yes, it is true to all of its claims. Whether you have dry, oily or combination skin; it will blend with your skin type amazingly.

One thing, I want to share with you guys that the lotion doesn’t have a cream based consistency, it has a little greasy texture. But after a few minutes of application, the product will be completely absorbed without leaving shine or greasiness on the skin. It leaves a dewy finish on the skin post-application.

Sunscreen spreads easily on the skin by patting it slightly with your fingertips.

The ingredient list of this product states that it contains both physical as well as chemical protection in it. The presence of chemical sunscreen in the lotion makes it not to leave any kind of whitish cast on the skin.

Formulation of sunscreen is very light and does not feel heavy and sticky on the face. Because of its light texture, my facial pores do not feel clog at all.

Pros:

  1. Contains Physical as well as chemical protection.
  2. Sweatproof.
  3. Waterproof.
  4. Non-greasy.
  5. Provides full spectrum protection.
  6. Amazing fragrance.
  7. Suitable for application in all seasons or throughout the year.
  8. Does not leave a whitish cast on the face.

Cons:

  1. Does not provide long duration protection from the sun.
  2. Sweats very less, and that too if you are under the sun.

Final Verdict:

Lotus Herbals Sunblock Cream is suitable for all skin types and can be applied everyday throughout the year.

Biocare Whitening Sunscreen With SPF 45

Biocare Whitening Sunscreen With SPF 45 Review

Biocare make their skin care products at an affordable price with an overwhelming range. The brand is trying to stand out in the Indian market as well as reaching their consumers through e-commerce websites and local shops at the same time.

They make face masks, face scrubs, foot scrubs, body gel, face gel, sunscreens and lot more products in a diverse variety. Two months back, My brother wanted to buy an affordable sunscreen. We went to a shop nearby our house for the purchase. The helper at the shop showed us Biocare Sunscreen in 2-3 varieties. We picked Biocare Whitening Sunscreen Cream With Spf 45 as it is a cream based product. Just after few uses, my brother gave it to me because it did not suit his skin. I am using it on myself at least from last 1 month to give you girls an in-depth review.

Price of the product: Rs. 170 for 200 gms.

What the product claims:

Biocare Whitening Sunscreen Cream With Vitamin C & SPF 45 is excellent for sensitive, oily and combination skin type as well as universally accepted for the skin of any colour.

Finally, an oil-free sunscreen that won’t leave you looking ‘pasty’. A non-greasy sunscreen offering broad-spectrum protection against the sun’s damaging rays. SUNCOAT contains zinc oxide, which provides a physical sunblock against UVA and UVB rays. SUNCOAT Sunscreen SPF 45 also contains dimethicone to protect skin from environmental damage and to retain moisture. Oil-free formulation absorbs quickly. May be worn daily under makeup, no need for additional moisturisers. Skin feels soft smooth and is protected.

SUNCOAT Sunscreen SPF 45 provides up to 45 times protection to the bare skin and physical barrier against UVA/UVB and infrared rays to prevent sunburn, skin damage, freckling and uneven coloration.

Product Highlights:

  • Broad spectrum sunscreen.
  • Water resistance.
  • Non-greasy.

My experience with the product:

The packaging of Biocare Whitening Sunscreen is a normal flip-top packaging and not travel-friendly. The tube is not spill-proof and it gets very dirty around the opening. Every time I open the tube, the product starts to come out without even pressing the tube. This means you always get more than the required amount. For this reason, I squeezed out the sunscreen lotion in an empty container for daily usage.

The consistency of the sunscreen is creamy. The sunscreen is heavy on the skin and leaves a white cast post application. Though the sunscreen is made for oily to combination skin type but it does not blend well with oily skin. Because of its heavy texture, it clogs the facial pores which in turn produces more sebum and the face becomes very sweaty.

If you have normal to dry skin type, use it after proper moisturisation on the face. Otherwise, it will make your skin dry. Another thing, I found annoying about this sunscreen is that, if you apply more than the required amount. Then it becomes difficult to blend it on the skin.

The product is a broad-spectrum sunscreen and absolutely non-greasy. But it is not water-resistance. Because it starts to dissolve with water, as soon as the skin comes in contact with water.

I used it on my facial skin only in winters after applying a proper amount of moisturiser on the face (otherwise, it dries out my skin). Nowadays, it is spring season here in India. And I am applying it on my arms and legs. It works great on these body parts, as you are protecting them without spending much.

Sunscreen is definitely a tricky skin care product. Because every sunscreen acts differently on different skin types. So, if you are conscious about experimenting with new sunscreens. You can use it as a body sunscreen lotion as it is very cheap and affordable.

Pros:

  1. Affordable.
  2. Non-greasy.
  3. Broad spectrum.
  4. Good for de-tanning (As it makes tanned skin slightly fairer).
  5. Good to be used as a body sunscreen lotion.
  6. Suitable for dry to normal skin type.

Cons:

  1. Very heavy on the skin.
  2. Not suitable for oily skin people (as it clogs pores).
  3. Makes skin very sweaty post application (for oily skin type).
  4. Not water resistance.
  5. Not spill-proof.

Final Verdict:

Biocare Whitening Sunscreen With SPF 45 is a decent sunscreen lotion but only for normal to dry skin people. If you don’t want to splurge much on a sunscreen for arms and legs. It would be a good option for you.

Patanjali Neem & Tulsi Face Wash Review

Patanjali Neem & Tulsi Face Wash Review

Face wash is a must have product in everyone’s vanity and Patanjali offers a variety of face wash for different skin issues. Formerly, I reviewed Honey Orange Face Wash from the same brand. This time, I wanted to try a different one. That’s why I chose Patanjali Neem & Tulsi Face Wash.

Though I am not a big fan of beauty products from Patanjali but I like their face wash to some extent. They are affordable for everyday usage without pinching your pocket.

Price of the product: Rs. 45 for 60gms.

What the product claims:

Patanjali Neem & Tulsi face wash is a soap-free herbal formulation. Its gentle cleansing action controls moisture and natural balance of the skin. Neem & Tulsi kills germs while Honey & Aloe moisturise and rejuvenate the skin tissues, to make complexion fresh, smooth and beautiful. It also helps to prevent pimples.

Product Highlights:

  • 100% soap-free formulae.
  • Gently cleanses to remove dirt & oil.

My experience with the product:

The product comes in a normal flip-top packaging which is quite sturdy for the purpose of travelling. To be frank, I did not like the design imprinted on the tube. It should be a little bit fancy but after considering its price, everyone will ignore this fact totally.

The face wash has gel-like consistency and is slightly green in colour. It has very soothing mild fragrance which I liked the most.

The face wash lathers very less and is very gentle on the skin. My face tends to appear normal in the spring season and it blended very well with my skin. Whenever I use it on my face, it glides very smoothly and doesn’t make my face dry and stretchy post wash.

It didn’t break me out. So I can say that it helps to prevent pimples according to its claims. Another thing, I found out about this face wash is that it also moisturises the facial skin to some extent. Which is why this is suitable for normal and dry skin people.

The seasons which would be suitable for this face wash to try out are: winters, autumn and spring.

Pros:

  1. Very affordable.
  2. Soap-free formulae.
  3. Suitable for normal and dry skin people.
  4. Very gentle on skin.
  5. Mild fragrance.

Cons:

  • Nothing negative found so far about this product.

Final Verdict:

Patanjali Neem & Tulsi face wash is worth a try product for everyday usage. I am really liking it in my daily skin care routine. My skin feels very soft and supple post wash.

Elle 18 Eye Drama Bold Black Kajal Review

Elle 18 Eye Drama Bold Black Kajal Review

Elle 18 is an enormously well-known cosmetic brand among makeup beginners and college going girls. The brand sell products of very good quality at a very affordable cost. Elle 18 Eye Drama Bold Black Kajal was recently launched in India and it is getting a lot of attention in the market since the first day of launch.

I am loving this kajal very much and I will share my thorough experience with you via this blog post. Let’s get started without wasting any minute.

Price of the product: Rs. 135 for 0.35 g

What the product claims

Get the dramatic look with a smooth intense glide. Lasts all day without the smudge. Suitable for contact lens users, Opthalmologically tested, versatile in application. Winged, smokey or just a precise opaque stroke along the waterline. Twist up and easily glide away.

Product Highlights

  • Lasts all day.
  • Smudge Proof.
  • Waterproof.

My experience with the product

I came to know about this kajal while surfing the Internet. After seeing its price and its claims, I wanted to get my hands on this product as soon as possible.

The Elle 18 Eye Drama Kajal comes in a retractable tube. The design of the product is pretty classic and chic (graffiti girl printed on a black base) just like its other cosmetic products.

The product is very much travel-friendly as the cap of the tube is very tight. Kajal also does a ‘tic’ sound when it is completely retracted back into the tube.

The texture of the kajal is very much smooth and glides very easily on the eyes. It gives perfect black colour in just 2 swipes. It stays on the eyes for a good time of 5-6 hours. After that, it tends to smudge but only little bit. The product doesn’t make my eyes looking like a panda.

However, the kajal claims to be a waterproof one. But I found out that it is water-resistant to a very good extent and not completely waterproof.

You can clearly see that after an interval of 5 hours, the kajal got faded from the inner corners of eyes. The product also got slightly smudged and didn’t make my eyes looking horrible.

Pros

  1. Affordable product.
  2. Travel-friendly.
  3. Perfect black colour.
  4. Glides very easily on the eyes.
  5. Easily available.
  6. Smudges very less.
  7. Water-resistant to a great extent.
  8. Can last all day.

Cons

  • I found no con of this product.

Final Verdict

Elle 18 Eye Drama Kajal is a great deal at this price. I have used Maybelline colossal Kajal too and this is much better than Maybelline one.

W2 Strawberry Face Wash Review

W2 Strawberry Face Wash Review

“W2” brand is new in the Indian market. That’s why most of the people are still unaware of the products from this brand. A few weeks ago, I shared my experience about W2 strawberry moisturiser with all of you.

This time, I am back with strawberry face wash from the same brand. So, that you get to know more about this brand and what are the pros & cons of this product.

Price of the product: Rs. 110 for 100 gm.

Also, read: Product Review on Patanjali Honey Orange Face Wash.

What the product claims

Natural skin whitening, Skin toning, De-pigmentation, Improves elasticity, Anti-bacterial, Anti-inflammatory, Stops acne.

Product Highlights

  • Regenerates skin.
  • Open pores.
  • Maintain sebum level.
  • Antioxidant.
  • Astringent action.

My experience with the product

I bought this product from a local shop. Since I was satisfied with the strawberry moisturiser from the same brand. I thought of giving this face wash worth a try.

The tube of the product is quite decent with a flip top cap, which is also great for travel purpose. The fragrance of the product is so much amazing. Whenever I use this face wash, I feel like slathering fresh strawberries on my entire face.

The face wash has gel-like consistency and quite transparent in colour. One thing, I noticed about this product is that it lathers very less which is great for extremely dry, sensitive skin and also for women who have crossed the age of 40. Because as you get older, your skin tends to be more on the drier side.

Talking about its claims, it does nothing on the skin as mentioned on the product packaging. However, I like to tell you that face washes are meant to remain on the skin only for 1-2 minutes. Therefore, a face wash can not prevent your skin from getting damaged.

Pros

  1. Affordable product.
  2. Good for extremely dry, sensitive and ageing skin.
  3. Lathers very less.
  4. Amazing fragrance.
  5. Does not dry out the skin.

Cons

  1. Not easily available.
  2. Does nothing about its claims. But, I don’t mind about this fact. Because it cleanses my face pretty well.

Will I repurchase it?

Yes. The product is very decent and you will love it after every usage.

Garnier Ultra Blends Soy Milk & Almonds Shampoo Review

Garnier Ultra Blends Soy Milk & Almonds Shampoo Review

Hi Gracies,

I am back with another review today. The product I am going to review today is Garnier Ultra Blends Soy Milk & Almonds Shampoo. It is also my current favourite nowadays.

This is the reason, I am super-excited to share my honest opinion with all of you. Without further ado, let’s get started.

Price of the product: Rs. 120 for 175 ml.

What the product claims:

Garnier Ultra Blends is a complete hair care range with precious natural ingredients, finely selected for their known efficacy on hair and blended in paraben-free formulas. Discover our bespoke blends for your everyday hair needs.

Hair is mainly composed of proteins. When damaged hair loses its protein content and becomes weak. Our formula is a blend with Soy Milk & Almonds, known for their rich protein content. It intensely repairs and restores damaged hair. Hair feels incredibly soft with every wash.

Product Highlights:

  • Paraben-free
  • Repairs & restores damaged hair.
  • Contains natural extracts.

My experience with the product:

I have used many shampoos from Garnier since my childhood but they always disappointed me with its results. Garnier Ultra Blends range has been over-hyped for a quite long time, and the credit goes to its effective advertisement and the main highlight of this range i.e. paraben-free.

Because my hair became very dry and rough after constant use of Himalaya Herbals Gentle Daily Care Protein Shampoo, I thought of giving this shampoo a try.

The shampoo comes in a normal flip-top bottle imprinted with a cute design. But the bottle’s cap is little loose and I am not sure whether it is suitable for the purpose of travelling or not.

The product is white in colour and has thick creme like consistency. It lathers into very rich and moisturising foam.

It made my extremely dry and frizzy hair to very soft and manageable. All the claims of this shampoo are totally true. It does repair and restores my hair back, the formula is totally paraben-free and also contains natural extracts.

The shampoo is definitely a good buy for dry and frizzy hair and also a very suitable option for the winter season. Winters always leave my hair very dry and brittle and I was looking for a moisturising shampoo in this season. Thank god, I found this one.

Pros:

  1. Affordable.
  2. Repairs & restores hair.
  3. Paraben-free.
  4. Contains natural extracts.
  5. Suitable for dry and frizzy hair.
  6. Best buy for the winter season.

Cons:

  • I am not sure whether the bottle is travel-friendly or not.

Will I repurchase it?

Definitely yes, I am also looking forward to trying the other variants from this range.

Pure Roots Peach & Butter Moisturiser Review

Hi Lovelies,

It’s winter time and my skin feels bit stretchy & dry in this cold weather. That is why I bought Pure Roots Peach & Butter Moisturiser recently to show some extra love to my skin.

Pure Roots is a very affordable cosmetic brand in India and it always proves its claims true to its consumers. So, without wasting any minute let’s hop on to the review.

Price of the product: Rs. 165 for 500 ml. Also available in 100 ml packaging.

What the product claims:

Your skin will love this blend of Peach oil & Clarified butter along with Glycerine which leaves skin feeling healthy soft and smooth. This non-greasy formula is perfect for dry and rough skin and helps seal in moisture to keep your skin soft and glowing throughout the day.

My experience with the product:

The moisturiser comes in a cute white and pink coloured bottle. The packaging of the product is sturdy.

The moisturiser is thick in consistency and feels buttery soft when applied on the skin. It is very nicely fragranced and slightly pink in colour.

As the product claims that it is for all skin types, but it is a complete no-no for oily and combination skin people. The moisturiser is comedogenic in nature and may cause breakout on oily skin type.

My skin feels amazingly soft and supple after using this moisturiser. It gets absorbed into skin instantly and my skin does not feel sticky at all.

Definitely, it is a very good moisturiser for people with dry & sensitive skin type in winters.

Pros:

  1. Very affordable.
  2. Does not make skin sticky and greasy.
  3. Provides proper moisturization to skin.
  4.  A must have product in winters.
  5. Suitable for dry and sensitive skin people.

Cons:

  • Not available on online e-commerce websites. You will have to buy it from local shops.

Will I repurchase it?

Definitely, It is my favourite moisturiser in winters and I am in love with this moisturiser.

Patanjali Honey Orange Face Wash Review

Patanjali Honey Orange Face Wash Review

Hi Lovelies,

From skincare to cosmetics; we all love to buy products which are hydrating and moisturising in winters. Since the season of dry and cold weather has come and it’s time to tweak my skincare routine.

This winter I bought Patanjali Honey Orange Face Wash to show my skin some love. In today’s review post, I will be talking about my experience with this face wash to all of you.

Price of the product: Rs. 45 for 60gms.

What the product claims:

Patanjali Honey Orange Face Wash is a unique blend of natural herbs and honey. It is a 100% soap-free deep cleansing gel, specially formulated for the oily, sensitive and acne-prone skin. Tulsi and Haldi are the natural antiseptics, it removes impurities and prevents pimples and acne. Mulethi gives freshness. Aloe and honey make soft, smooth and help to glowing skin.

Products Highlights:

  • Moisturizes, cleanses & rejuvenates skin.
  • 100% soap-free formulae.

My experience with the product:

face wash on handThe packaging of the product is nothing fancy with a flip top, designed with oranges and honeycombs on it. But, the tube of face wash is compact and sturdy for the purpose of travelling.

The face wash is orange in colour and has a thick gel-like consistency. It is lightly fragranced which will not irritate sensitive noses.

I would like to tell that my skin type appears to be normal in winters. Though the product claims that it is made for oily, sensitive and acne-prone skin. But it is a great blend for my skin too.

I found out that the product is good for dry, sensitive, normal, combination and a little bit of oily skin type. The face wash is good to be used in winters because it will not help extra oil/sebum secretion in summers.

The product lathers into a decent amount and does help fight acne a bit but not too much. After using this face wash; my skin always feels fresh and brightened up.

Pros:

  1. Affordable product.
  2. Easily available.
  3. Travel-friendly.
  4. Good face wash for winter/autumn/spring season.
  5. Does not dry out the skin.
  6. Lathers into a decent amount.
  7. Fights acne to some extent.
  8. Soap-free formulae.

Cons:

  • Though the product is made for oily skin but it does not control oil/sebum secretion on the face.

Will I repurchase it?

The product is a good handy option for everyone in winters. I would definitely like to buy it next time.

himalya herbals daily care protein shampoo

Himalya Herbals Gentle Daily Care Protein Shampoo Review

“Himalaya” is well-known and also a trusted brand here in India. Himalaya manufactures products in various categories like skincare, healthcare, general wellness, baby care and much more. That is the reason, you can easily find a product in this brand according to your need. Today’s review post is about “Himalaya Herbals Gentle Daily Care Protein Shampoo”. Read the whole blog post and share your personal experience about this product in the comments section.

Price of the product: Rs. 220 for 400 ml

What the product claims:

Himalaya Herbals Gentle Daily Care Protein Shampoo in enriched with natural proteins that provide necessary nourishment to hair. Fortified with herbal ingredients our shampoos are effective, natural and gentle on hair.

  • Amla softens and conditions hair.
  • Liquorice helps promote hair growth.
  • Chickpea provides daily nourishment to your hair keeping it soft, smooth and healthy.

My experience with the product:

The packaging of this bottle is sturdy and looks cool too. The shampoo comes in gel form and has a nice fragrance which is not overpowering. The product lathers into a rich foam when applied onto the hair.

The texture of my hair is dry and frizzy, due to which I always have to use a moisturising shampoo. Though this product cleanses my hair thoroughly but it always made my hair drier and unmanageable after every usage. I used this shampoo even with a rich conditioner but it too did not help my hair  at all.

I found that the shampoo is good for extremely oily hair and it should be mentioned on the bottle.

The product totally fails to prove all of its claims mentioned on its bottle. I bought this shampoo just because it claims to contain natural proteins in it. But it did nothing to help out my hair falling problem. Instead, it made my hair more prone to fall.

Pros:

  1. Affordable.
  2. Good for oily hair.
  3. Travel-friendly.

Cons:

  1. Makes hair drier and unmanageable.
  2. Does nothing regarding its claims.
  3. Bit harsh on hair.

Will I repurchase it?

I am totally disappointed with this shampoo and I am never ever gonna buy it at all.
